Casa Lavanda wedding : Swetlana & Kutay

Swetlana and Kutay had their official wedding ceremony in Germany. But they also wanted to have a wedding celebration in Istanbul, Turkey. And I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph this beautiful Casa Lavanda wedding.

Casa Lavanda was a favourite getaway for Kutay’s family before, and the entire family loved the place. When I joined them on their wedding day, Swetlana and Kutay was enjoying the beautiful morning in this gorgeous setting, an hour away from the chaos of Istanbul, with their families and friends.

You can continue reading the story of this wedding below the photos.

Swetlana was a short-haired bride, so she did her hair by herself in her room. Her sister and her friends helped her with the makeup. Kutay visited the room several times to check the preparations. After they put on their dresses, we spent some time in the relaxing gardens of Casa Lavanda for some portraits.

The venue was set up with beautiful details and some lovely surprises for the guests, by Feryal Hanım, the owner of Casa Lavanda. The presentation of the name tags was especially inspiring.

After the coctail hour, the guests were invited to their seats at the ceremony area. The couple appeared among the trees, with a modern version of Samanyolu, a classical Turkish song, playing in the background. They read their wedding vows in this very emotional ceremony. The words they spoke in German, were being translated to English, Turkish and Russian, for the guests.

Another little detail that the couple wanted was the little rocks of wishes. The guests would write their words on the rocks, and would put them in a glass vaze. Swetlana’s sister made the opening.

After the ceremony, the guests moved to the reception area for dinner. The rest of the evening in this nicely decorated garden, was filled with music, dancing, and too much fun.
